Some of the most challenging work (besides my day gig photographing kids!) is when I pick up an impromptu shoot with very little planning and even less shoot time. I had a great friend of mine give me a buzz one afternoon. Shelly was at the historical Driskel Hotel downtown on 6th Street. It’s a rare occasion to have a valid reason to give the management for shooting in their hotel, so when Shelly was working with the managers on a promotion contract, she wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to capture some great images. With the waif-esque McKenzie there with wardrobe, I jumped at the chance to see what I could accomplish in a few moments with just a single strobe. I loved the energy and fun of working with these creative and beautiful people. I hope it shows in the images. Enjoy and thanks for checking out ANOTHER blog!
