The great thing about going through and cleaning up the “duds” and archived photography over the past two years is I come across rough images that didn’t make the original “cut” because of my own limitations. Now I come across something simple, use some updated skills and create web-worthy pics within a matter of minutes. With the conversion to black and white in Photoshop instead of the preset in LR3, I am able to dial in exposure based on color channels. This creates great impact in contrast without losing the softness of the light.
Softbox on AB800 boomed in overhead, tilted towards background approx. 20 degrees off center. 70mm at f/8. i typically don’t shoot over 5.6, but being so far from the subject at 70mm, I wanted to ensure DOF reached to the background for texture.
